Dana Point is a city with a rich history. This coming January 18, 2020, a naturalist-created event will introduce joiners to a few historical periods. Learn the history of the Acjachemen, Spanish Mission, Rancho, and Modern Era on this event.
Saturday DPHCA Walks; Whale Talk & Walk also touches the ‘Woodruff’ era (the 1920s-1930s), the surfing heritage, and construction. Walking throughout the Conservation Area of Dana Point Headlands will give context to Dana Point’s rich history, pointing out famous landmarks and telling stories to link the past with our present view.
Before the hike, the Nature Interpretive Center has binoculars available. Borrow a binocular or bring one to fully enjoy the views and landmarks.
